The Jensen Interceptor was a British grand tourer with an Italian body and an American engine, its shape drawn by Carrozzeria Touring and originally built in Italy by Vignale. The Mk III arrived in 1971 with a revised grille and interior, and the car's defining feature remained the vast wraparound rear screen that doubles as a tailgate. The combination of West Bromwich engineering and a large Chrysler V8 gave it effortless pace that few British cars of the period could match.
