By 1990 the Corniche Convertible had been in production for almost twenty years, refined steadily rather than replaced. It remained largely hand-built, with a lined power hood that folds away almost completely, and it is the drophead rather than the coupe that most people picture when they think of the model. Later cars gained fuel injection and revised suspension while keeping the original silhouette essentially intact.
