The 2 CV or ‘deux chevaux-vapeur’ is undoubtedly the most iconic Citroën of all time save perhaps for the highly advanced DS Range introduced in 1955. Designed before the War as France’s equivalent to the VW Beatle and conceived to be light, spacious and capable of dealing with the then awful French country roads! Produced between 1948 and 1990 it is considered to be a cult car and as French as the Mini is English or the Beatle German.
